To ensure that children and families are keeping mentally and physically fit, DRET and Briar Hill Primary School have come up with a number of different activities and challenges.
Wellbeing Wednesday
This has been introduced to ensure children Keep Learning, Be Active, Connect, Take Notice and Give. Here is an example of one of the Wellbeing Wednesday Presentations.

Examples of Sports Challenges - DRET
Examples from a typical week of Live PE lessons
Tuesday 4pm
We will start on Tuesday at 4pm with the final SAQ at Home session with master trainer Harry White. Please find the live session on the following link:
Thursday 11am
Our Thursday DRET Sport PE lesson will take place at 11am, with a focus on gymnastics basic shapes and jumps. This session will be ideal for all year groups, with children requiring minimal space and no equipment to take part. Please find the live session on the following link:
Friday 10:30am and 1:30pm
Finally on Friday, DRET Sport are delighted to have been given the opportunity by Ingoldsby Academy to work with their artist in residence dance teacher Adam Slepowronski (https://www.mandy.com/uk/theatre-professional/adam-slepowronski).
This is a fantastic opportunity for all of our primary academies to get to work with Adam, and one that I hope many of you will join us for. Adam will do 2 x live dance sessions during the day.
One of these will be aimed at EYFS and KS1 (10:30am), while the other will lean more towards KS2 at 1.30pm. Other year groups can take part depending on their dance experience. In this second session, Adam will look to teach children a short choreographed dance. These sessions can be found on the following links:
